The Basics

Where are we going?
We are returning to the village of El Pino, outside the city of La Ceiba on the north coast of Honduras. This is the fifth year (last year's trip was canceled due to political unrest) St. Mark teams will be working in this village and the nearby village of Nuevo de Julio. We have developed many friendships and strong relationships with the people from this village and we are blessed to be able to return again and share our mission ministry.

When do we go?
We will be traveling to Honduras from June 25, 2010 to July 2, 2010. We had our Commissioning Service on Sunday, June 20 during the morning services at St. Mark UMC.

Who is supporting us?
This mission trip is being supported by the friends and families of each team member, as well as the members of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA. (www.stmarkumc.org) St. Mark UMC has helped raise money to purchase medication and medical supplies, and to off-set construction costs for home building for the people of El Pino. We ask that if you are reading this you become a supporter by praying daily for the work and safety of our trip.
